“ I’m always happy to find a great local Italian place so was thrilled to find Matteo’s Pizza Parlour in Highett. The Date Night meal deal included 2 wood fired pizzas, pasta & salad along with a bottle of wine - a bargain for $65 We took our food to the park for a picnic & were impressed with the quality of the food. The prawn linguine was creamy & indulgent & didn’t last long. We loved the wood fired pizzas, thin crust & authentic Italian flavours. The mushroom pizza was a highlight, the porcini mushrooms added a depth of flavour & we loved the cheesy goodness & addition of potatoes. The fennel & orange salad was light & fresh & finished the meal perfectly along with the bottle of Shiraz. Matt & the team were very friendly & welcoming & we’ll look forward to going back to dine in. ”

“ We chose this place for dinner since we were in the area and were excited to try their woodfire pizza. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed, and the wait for our food wasn't long. The wood-fired pizza looked promising, but unfortunately, the slices were soft and chewy—more on the soggy side, which we didn’t enjoy. While it seems like a nice family-friendly spot, the pizza just wasn’t as good as we hoped for & wished the toppings were spread evenly . Overall not bad. Price: $75 (2x pizzas & alcohol bevs) ”

“ I still like this place, but there are barely any toppings anymore. For the price, a prawn pizza should have more than 5 small prawns. I also feel a lot of greenery is placed on some pizzas to hide the minimal toppings. I hope they can improve this. After visiting this place around 5 times now, this definitely gets full stars for me. This is my favourite pizza restaurant to date, hands down. I've forgotten about my other go to's. Pizza is delicious consistently, the base is a beautiful soft dough. Staff are always very attentive and friendly. Love it! ”

“ Pizza, pasta and wine - the perfect combo. Look no further than to Matteo's Date Night Deal if that's what you fancy too. 2 large pizzas, 1 pasta, 1 salad and a bottle of vino. Get ready for thin crispy crust, topped with delicious and fresh ingredients, and flavours that hit the spot. The earthy and mellow flavour of the Mushroom Pizza contrast really well with the punchy and bold flavours of the Pepperoni Pizza. The Prawn Linguini was creamy and rich, and was a delight to eat. Paired with the refreshing and zesty salad, I could even trick myself into believing that I was eating clean. A most enjoyable meal and definitely a great local pizza joint for all. ”

“ Simple, unpretentious, casual, good food. Some of the words I’d use to sum up Teo’s. They’ve been awhile for awhile but we’ve only just managed to grab a bit there. Great food - the Carbonara is the PROPER AUTHENTIC stuff. Friendly staff, very accommodating. Great casual family diner for all ages. ”
